The MP N/O measurement module is used for processing and digitally transmitting signals from geophone sensors or seismometers to the local measurement concentrator LKP using DTSS transmission. The module is designed for sampling signals from geophone probes and performing analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion synchronously with the reference clock signal, at a frequency required for signal sampling with delay compensation caused by transmission lines of different lengths.
The module can operate in a configuration with or without an exciter. In a system containing an exciter, the input power supply of the MP N/O module working with the WZB exciter is supplied with voltage from an intrinsically safe power supply, and the exciter control output is connected to the WZB exciter.
The main functions of the MP N/O module are:
processing analog signals from the geophone probe into digital signals,
collecting digital data and forming a frame,
transmitting data to the OCGD or OCGA digital receiver module,
synchronizing the clock generator for the A/D converters,
providing an exciter control signal (only for configurations with an exciter control output).
The MP N/O module is an intrinsically safe device of Group I, Category M1, with protection level “ia”, which can work with a measurement concentrator with protection level “ia” or “ib”.
