Application

Assessment of rockburst hazards in the longwall area. Monitoring microseismic activity during mining operations, recording and processing information on seismic events in coal mines and other natural resource extraction sites.

System Functions

• Interference-resistant DTSS digital transmission,
• Designed for mining facilities exposed to rockburst hazards,
• Can be used in methane explosion hazardous areas,
• Conducting seismoacoustic monitoring in high-risk areas (longwall),
• Assessment of rockburst hazards in accordance with the principles of the seismoacoustic method for rockburst hazard evaluation,
• Determining the location and energy of a microseismic tremor.

Basic functions of the seismoacoustic software package integrated with the ARAMIS M/E system

1. Software for recording seismoacoustic impulses and events ARES_REJ (similar to ARAMIS_REJ)

a. Continuous seismoacoustic recording function,

b. Ability to edit the seismoacoustic impulse detector,

c. Ability to edit the seismoacoustic event detector (as in ARAMIS_REJ),

d. Ability to correlate ARAMIS system detection with the ARES system (ARAMIS M/E triggers ARES recording).

2. New OCENA_WIN software

a. Logging into the software in compliance with current Polish law,

b. Entering measurement data in the program (e.g., distance R, coefficient K’, W/N change),

c. Exporting minutes for external processing.

3. New ARES_WIN software (replacement for the old ARES-X)

a. Ability to locate and determine the energy of seismoacoustic tremors,

b. Ability to display tremors on a CAD map,

c. Ability to attach recorded tremors to the ARAMIS system (improved method),

d. Ability for active/passive tomography.
