ZK EX Communication unit

Description

The ZK EX Communication Unit is designed for processing and data exchange between devices with different types of digital transmission. The unit was made in accordance with the requirements for group I, category M1 equipment.

It is designed for operation in spaces at risk of methane explosion and coal dust explosion.

The communication unit equipped with the MK2 communication module can use a network infrastructure based on fiber optics or UTP copper network cable. RS485 transmission circuits, fiber optic signals and network transmission circuits which have protection level "ia" are accessible outside the communication unit. The ZK EX Communication Unit allows conversion of communication standards in both hardware and software aspects by changing data exchange protocols between various devices and the master controller. The master controller is usually a PC, located in an explosion safe area. The default protocols are MODBUS RTU for RS485 links and MODBUS TCP for Ethernet links.
