The TURO-34A controller is a component of the TURO-A power electronics system for controlling the drive of explosion-proof battery locomotives LeaBM-12.

The controller is designed to generate signals concerning:

• the operating mode of the control system (driving, braking),
• the setpoint value of the traction motor current,
• the direction of locomotive travel.

The controller has a flameproof enclosure equipped with a direction selector lever and a setpoint lever to select travel direction and operating mode (driving, braking).

The TURO-34A controller is an intrinsically safe device, Group I, Category M2.
