Software (ARES-5/E)

Description

The ARES-5/E seismic observation system software is used for recording seismic data to assess rockburst risk.

The software consists of the following components:

  • OCENA_WIN,
  • ARES_ME.

Specification

Functions of ARES_ME:

  • Ability to work with up to 8 ARES_5/E surface stations.
  • Downloading multichannel event records from ARES_5/E surface stations.
  • Archiving event records in the database.
  • Sharing seismograms for further processing.
  • Convenient presentation of seismograms, such as zooming and scaling.
  • Re-validation processing in operator mode. Adjustment of markers for characteristic phases of the record.
  • Frequency analysis and filtering.
  • Entering and modifying parameters of underground sensors.
  • Setting all software options, including those for processing and presentation.
  • Exporting seismograms to the Aramis M/E system for location correction.

Functions of OCENA_WIN:

  • Downloading minute data,
  • Presenting minute, hourly, and shift data on charts,
  • Calculating shift, hourly, and minute averages and displaying them on a chart,
  • Calculating percentage deviations,
  • Printing charts for a given period with marked tremors,
  • Flexible screen layout configuration with saving option,
  • Advanced geophone configuration – e.g., assigning a geophone to a specific excavation, building the transmission path from available elements,
  • Assessing shift and hourly hazard levels,
  • Printing shift and hourly reports, including from archived data,
  • Report on adjustments – amplification and distance of the geophone from the face,
  • Real-time observation of hourly and shift deviations with a control function that warns about exceeded deviations.
